Ingredients

  • 12 cup soft butter
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 12 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 12 cups all-purpose flour
  • 14 cup semisweet mini chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • sifted confectioners' sugar
  • 34 cup semisweet chocolate piece
  • 1 tablespoon shortening (like Crisco)
  • 2 tablespoons white corn syrup
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method

  • Cream butter, salt & vanilla till fluffy; beat in sugar.
  • Blend in flour, milk, and mini chocolate chips.
  • Shape into 1" balls.
  • Place on ungreased baking sheet.
  • With finger or thumb, poke depression in each.
  • Bake in 375 degree F. oven for 10-12 minutes.
  • Roll while warm in confectioners sugar.
  • Set aside while you make filling:.
  • Melt chocolate chips with shortening; stir.
  • Cool a little.
  • Blend in corn syrup, water and vanilla.
  • Fill cooled cookies.
