Ingredients

  • approximately 10 potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 carrots, thinly sliced
  • 2 stalks celery, sliced
  • salt
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 can cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup

Method

  • Combine potatoes, onion, celery, carrots and salt in large kettle.
  • Cover with water and boil approximately 30 minutes (until tender).
  • Mix milk and cream of chicken (or mushroom) soup together in separate bowl.
  • Reduce heat first, then add milk mix. Stir constantly until mixed well.
  • Add butter.
  • Let simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.
