Ingredients
- 2 large potatoes, boiled and mashed (1 c.)
- 2 envelopes granulated yeast
- 1 c. milk
- 2/3 c. butter
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 5 1/2 c. sifted flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
Method
- Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup lukewarm water.
- Scald milk and add butter, sugar and salt.
- Stir until sugar is dissolved.
- Add mashed potatoes and mix well. Cool to lukewarm.
- Add the yeast and half of the flour.
- Mix well. Beat in eggs.
- Add remaining flour and mix thoroughly.
