Ingredients

  • 4 c. sliced raw potatoes
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1 c. grated sharp cheese
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine

Method

  • Preheat oven to 375°.
  • Grease a 2-quart baking dish with butter.
  • Blend soup and milk; arrange alternate layers of potatoes, onion and soup.
  • Sprinkle each layer with a little black pepper.
  • Sprinkle cheese on top; dot with margarine.
  • Sprinkle sparingly with paprika.
  • Cover with foil; bake 1 hour.
  • Remove foil; bake another 15 minutes, or until nicely browned.
