Ingredients
- 3 large apples
- 3 large fresh pears
- 1 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
- 1 c. fresh orange juice
- 1 tsp. grated orange rind
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/8 tsp. salt
Method
- Pare, quarter
- and
- core apples and pears.
- Brush fruit with lemon
- juice.
- Combine
- orange juice rind, sugar and salt in a large
- skillet.
- Heat to boiling point.
- Add fruit; cover and simmer until just tender, about 15 minutes.
- Serve warm or chilled.
- Makes 6 servings.
