Ingredients

  • 1 (8 oz.) bag salad shrimp (1 lb.)
  • whipped cream cheese
  • 1/2 c. sour cream
  • 3/4 c. cocktail sauce, divided
  • 1 tsp. hot pepper sauce
  • 1/4 c. chopped fresh parsley

Method

  • Thaw shrimp according to package directions.
  • Rinse and drain.
  • Refrigerate until ready to use.
  • Spread cream cheese in a 6-inch dish or plate.
  • Combine sour cream, 1/2 cup cocktail sauce, hot pepper sauce in a small bowl.
  • Layer on top of cream cheese. Combine shrimp, remaining 1/4 cup cocktail sauce and parsley in another small bowl.
  • Layer shrimp mixture over sour cream mixture. Serve immediately.
  • House crackers.
  • Makes 3 cups.
