Ingredients
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. hot water
- 1 envelope dry yeast
- 2 c. flour
Method
- In a bowl, combine sugar, salt and hot water; stir to dissolve sugar and salt.
- Allow to cool to lukewarm.
- Sprinkle yeast over and allow to dissolve.
- Add flour 1/2 cup at a time.
- Turn dough onto floured surface and knead thoroughly.
- Divide into 12 small pieces and roll into balls.
- With rolling pin, roll each ball into 5-inch circle.
- Place on baking sheet.
- Bake at 500° for 5 to 7 minutes or until puffed and golden.
- Yields 12 rounds.
