Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 2 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1 c. pineapple, sliced
  • 1 pkg. yellow cake mix
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/3 c. oil
  • 3 eggs
  • cherries on top

Method

  • Preheat oven to 375°.
  • Place melted margarine in 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
  • Sprinkle brown sugar over butter and lay in the pineapple.
  • Prepare cake batter; combine cake mix, water, oil and eggs at low speed until moistened.
  • Beat 2 minutes at high speed. Bake 35 to 40 minutes until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  • Cool in pan 10 minutes.
  • Turn pan upside-down.
  • Top with cherries in pineapple if desired.
