Ingredients

  • 1 (20 oz.) can pineapple chunks, drained (reserve juice)
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 1 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 c. melted butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c. buttered cracker crumbs

Method

  • Combine sugar, flour and 8 tablespoons of reserved pineapple juice; mix well.
  • Add cheese and pineapple chunks.
  • Mix all well. Pour into a 1-quart greased casserole.
  • Combine melted butter and cracker crumbs; sprinkle over pineapple mixture.
  • Bake at 350° for 20 to 30 minutes.
