Ingredients
- 2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2/3 c. + 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 4 Tbsp. cold water
Method
- Blend shortening, salt and flour with pastry blender in a medium size bowl.
- Mixture will resemble coarse crumbs when ready. Gradually sprinkle cold water, 1 tablespoon at a time.
- Toss the mixture lightly with fork after each addition.
- To roll, place between waxed paper.
- For cream pies, prick single crust; bake at 425° for 15 to 20 minutes or until lightly browned.
