Ingredients

  • 6 c. water (can substitute a portion of beet juice for water)
  • 2 c. vinegar
  • 1/4 c. vegetable oil
  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 c. salt
  • 1/4 c. pickling spices
  • 2 tsp. freshly ground pepper
  • dash of hot pepper sauce
  • 2 doz. small hard-boiled eggs

Method

  • Combine first 8 ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
  • Mix until well blended.
  • Remove shells from boiled eggs and place in a large jar with a tight fitting lid.
  • Pour water vinegar mixture over eggs to cover.
  • Cover tightly and allow to marinate for at least 2 days before serving.
