- 6 c. water (can substitute a portion of beet juice for water)
- 2 c. vinegar
- 1/4 c. vegetable oil
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 c. salt
- 1/4 c. pickling spices
- 2 tsp. freshly ground pepper
- dash of hot pepper sauce
- 2 doz. small hard-boiled eggs
Method
- Combine first 8 ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
- Mix until well blended.
- Remove shells from boiled eggs and place in a large jar with a tight fitting lid.
- Pour water vinegar mixture over eggs to cover.
- Cover tightly and allow to marinate for at least 2 days before serving.
