Ingredients
- 4 c. unsifted flour
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 3/4 c. Crisco
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 large egg
Method
- Put flour, sugar and Crisco in large bowl and mix until crumbly.
- A pastry blender is helpful.
- In a
- small
- bowl, mix egg, water and vinegar.
- Add to
- flour
- mix
- and
- combine until moistened. Divide dough into 5 to 6
- portions.
- Wrap each one in plastic and chill. Each portion will make one 9-inch crust. You can thaw, freeze, refreeze, re-roll
- and
- it won't hurt its quality.
- How nice to reach into the
- freezer
- and find it, but thaw it in the fridge before rolling.
