Ingredients

  • 1 large fresh beef brisket
  • 1 tsp. onion salt
  • 1 tsp. celery salt
  • 1 tsp. garlic salt
  • 3/4 bottle liquid smoke

Method

  • Mix the seasoned salts and rub into all surfaces of the brisket.
  • Place brisket in a large piece of heavy-duty aluminum foil.
  • Pour liquid smoke over meat and tightly seal foil.
  • Place in a 275° oven and bake 7 to 8 hours.
  • Can be baked overnight, then refrigerated until almost serving time, then reheated.
  • Slice across the grain and trim off fat as you slice.
  • Leftovers can be reheated or chopped and served with barbecue sauce as a sandwich.
