Ingredients

  • 4 c. sliced peaches
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 3 tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp. butter
  • 1 baked 9 inch pie shell

Method

  • Crush sufficient peaches to make 1 c., leaving the rest sliced.
  • Spread these fresh sliced peaches into the pie shell and cover completely with the following mix.
  • Combine the 1 c. crushed peaches with water, sugar and cornstarch.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Cook over low heat till clear, 2 ro 3 min, stirring occasionally.
  • Add in butter.
  • Cold slightly.
  • Pour over fresh peaches making sure which all are covered.
  • Refrigerateat least 2 hrs.
  • Just before serving, garnish with whipped cream.
  • (This is a wonderful pie!)
