Ingredients

  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 (1/2 c.) stick butter or margarine
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • confectioners sugar
  • 1 c. pecans
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Method

  • Heat oven to 300°.
  • Process flour and pecans in food processor or until nuts are very finely chopped.
  • Beat butter, sugar and vanilla until pale and fluffy.
  • Gradually beat in flour mixture just until blended.
  • Roll level tablespoons of dough into balls.
  • Place 1-inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake for 45 minutes or until browned.
  • While warm, roll in powdered sugar. Cool completely.
  • Then roll in powdered sugar again.
