Ingredients
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt
- 1/4 tsp. meat tenderizer
- 1 tsp. onion salt or 1/8 c. finely diced Vidalia onion
- 1/4 c. Heinz 57 sauce
- 1 tsp. mustard
- 3/4 c. Quaker oatmeal
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 c. onion or tomato soup
Method
- Part 1:
- Mix thawed and drained ground beef thoroughly with all Part 1 ingredients, except for 1/4 cup onion or tomato soup. Mixture should be firm enough to shape into loaf by hand (if soggy, add
- more oatmeal).
- Place in a 2 pound capacity loaf pan and pour 1/4 cup soup over loaf.
- Place in oven and slow cook at 350° for 40 minutes.
- Occasionally baste and marinate in natural juices.
