Ingredients

  • 1 baked pie shell
  • 1/3 c. butter
  • 1/2 c. dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. light corn syrup
  • 1/4 c. molasses
  • 1/4 c. maple syrup
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp. almond extract
  • 2/3 c. chopped pecans
  • 2/3 c. pecan halves

Method

  • Cream butter with sugar.
  • Add liquids and eggs.
  • Mix well. Add chopped pecans.
  • Pour into baked pie shell.
  • Cover with pecan halves carefully laid end to end in circles until entire pie top is covered.
  • Bake 40 to 45 minutes in slow oven.
  • Cool.
  • This is a very rich pie.
  • Serve small pieces.
