Ingredients
- 1 pkg. yellow cake mix
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 c. light corn syrup
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. chopped pecans
Method
- Reserve 2/3 cup cake mix.
- In large bowl, combine dry cake mix, butter and one egg.
- Mix this until crumbly.
- Press into pan with floured fingers.
- Bake at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Mix reserved cake mix with brown sugar, syrup, vanilla and 3 eggs. Pour over baked crust and sprinkle with pecans.
- Return to oven and bake 30 minutes more or until filling is set.
- Cool and cut into bars.
