Ingredients
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 c. brown sugar (packed)
- 1 egg
- 2 c. rolled oats
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1 medium fresh Bartlett pear, coarsely chopped (1 1/2 c.)
- 1 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. each: baking soda and salt
- granulated sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Cream butter with brown sugar until smooth.
- Beat in remaining ingredients, until just combined.
- Drop by rounded teaspoonful onto lightly greased baking sheet.
- Sprinkle with granulated sugar.
- Bake in 350° oven for 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Makes about 4 1/2 dozen cookies.
