Ingredients

  • 3 lb. shrimp
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 c. chopped parsley and green onions
  • season to taste or use Tony's seasoning
  • 1 cooking spoon oil
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 Tbsp. flour

Method

  • Heat oil in thick iron pot.
  • Add shrimp and cook only until they turn pink.
  • Add tomato sauce, can of water, onion, garlic and seasoning to taste.
  • Add onion tops and parsley.
  • Cook very slowly, covered, for 45 to 50 minutes.
  • Add a tablespoon of flour mixed with a small amount of cold water to gravy before serving. Serve over hot cooked rice.
  • Approximately 6 servings.
