Ingredients

  • 12 cup butter, softened
  • 12 cup sugar
  • 14 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup quick-cooking rolled oats
  • 14 teaspoon baking soda
  • 14 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup peanut butter chips
  • 1 12 cups cranberries
  • 23 cup light corn syrup
  • 12 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method

  • heat oven to 350.
  • Greese 8-inch baking pan.
  • beat butter and sugars in a bowl until fluffy.
  • Stir together flour, oats, baking powder and salt.
  • gradually add to butter, will be the consistency of coarse crumbs when fully mixed.
  • stir in chips.
  • Reserve 1 1/2 cups crumbs for topping.
  • Firmly press remaining mixture in the bottom of the pan.
  • Bake 15 minutes or until set.
  • In medium saucepan, combine cranberries, corn syrup and water.
  • Until mixture boils.
  • Reduce heat; simmer 15 minutes.
  • Remove from heat.
  • stir in vanilla.
  • spread evenly over baked layer.
  • sprinkle reserved crumbs on top.
  • return to oven; bake for 15 to 20 minutes.
  • cool completely.
  • cut into 16 bars.
