Ingredients

  • FOR THE CRUST:
  • 2 cups Flour
  • 2 cups Quick Cooking Rolled Oats
  • 1-1/2 cup Brown Sugar, Firmly Packed
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/2 teaspoons Salt
  • 1-1/4 cup Butter

  • FOR THE FILLING:
  • 1 jar (12.5 Oz. Jar) Caramel Ice Cream Topping
  • 3 Tablespoons Flour
  • 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1/2 cups Chopped Nuts

Method

  • 1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 13x9 pan. In a large bowl, blend all crust ingredients at low speed until crumbly. Press half of the crumbs (about 3 cups) in the bottom of the pan. Reserve remaining crumb mixture for topping.
  • 2. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine caramel and flour (for the filling).
  • 3. Remove partially baked crust from oven; sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts. Drizzle evenly with the caramel mixture. Sprinkle with the remaining crumb mixture.
  • 4. Bake at 350 degrees for an additional 18 to 22 minutes, or until golden brown. Cool completely. Refrigerate 1 to 2 hours until filling is set; cut into bars.
