Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. margarine
  • 2/3 c. (5 1/2 oz. can) evaporated milk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. creamy peanut butter
  • 1 (7 oz.) jar marshmallow creme
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c. M & M's (plain or peanut)

Method

  • Combine sugar, margarine, milk, and salt in heavy 3 quart saucepan.
  • Bring to a full rolling boil over high heat, stirring constantly.
  • Remove from heat, stir in peanut butter until melted. Add marshmallow creme and vanilla.
  • Beat until smooth and well blended.
  • Fold in candies, immediately spread into greased 13 x 9 inch baking pan.
  • Cool at room temperature.
  • Cut into squares. Yield: 3 lb.
