Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup white Karo syrup
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 pkg. (16 oz.) corn chips (like Fritos)
  • 1/2 cup cashews

Method

  • Butter a cookie sheet.
  • Put corn chips (and nuts, if using) into a heat-proof bowl.
  • Combine sugar and corn syrup in saucepan and bring to a boil.
  • Boil for a minute, until sugar dissolves, add peanut butter and stir until melted and incorporated with sugar/syrup.
  • Pour while hot, over chips and toss coating all chips.
  • Form into small balls or clumps and place on cookie sheet.
  • When cool, store in covered container.
