Ingredients
- 3 c. sugar
- 1 c. water
- 1/2 c. light Karo
- 1/4 c. butter
- 12 oz. Spanish peanuts with skins
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. baking soda
Method
- Boil sugar, water and corn syrup (Karo) until threads.
- Add butter and peanuts.
- Cook slowly to 300°.
- Add vanilla and baking soda.
- (Stir quickly because it foams up.) Spread onto 2 greased cookie sheets.
- When cool, break into smaller pieces.
- Makes 3 pounds.
