Ingredients
- 1 (21 oz.) can peach pie filling
- 1 1/2 c. buttermilk baking mix
- 1/3 c. brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 egg
- 1/4 c. shortening, melted
Method
- Heat oven to
- 400°.
- Spread
- pie
- filling
- in ungreased baking pan (8 x 8 x
- 2-inch).
- Stir
- baking mix, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg in a bowl.
- Beat egg thoroughly; pour into mixture in bowl and
- stir until crumbly.
- Sprinkle evenly over pie filling. Drizzle
- with shortening.
- Bake until topping is golden brown, about 20
- minutes. Serve warm with ice cream or light cream, if desired.
- Makes 6 servings.
