Ingredients

  • 1 (21 oz.) can peach pie filling
  • 1 1/2 c. buttermilk baking mix
  • 1/3 c. brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 c. shortening, melted

Method

  • Heat oven to
  • 400°.
  • Spread
  • pie
  • filling
  • in ungreased baking pan (8 x 8 x
  • 2-inch).
  • Stir
  • baking mix, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg in a bowl.
  • Beat egg thoroughly; pour into mixture in bowl and
  • stir until crumbly.
  • Sprinkle evenly over pie filling. Drizzle
  • with shortening.
  • Bake until topping is golden brown, about 20
  • minutes. Serve warm with ice cream or light cream, if desired.
