Ingredients
- 1 stick oleo
- 2 c. self-rising flour
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/3 c. milk
- 2 to 3 c. chopped peaches
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 c. water
- 1/2 to 1 tsp. cinnamon
Method
- Melt oleo in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
- Mix the flour, shortening and milk; stir with fork until dough leaves sides of bowl.
- Turn out onto lightly floured board or cloth; knead just until smooth. Roll dough out into large rectangle, 1/4-inch thick.
- Spread peaches on dough; sprinkle with cinnamon.
- Roll up like jelly roll.
- Seal edges with a little water.
- Cut into 12 to 15 pieces; place in pan with butter.
- Boil sugar and water until melted; pour over rolls.
- Bake at 350° for 45 minutes, until golden brown, not dry.
