Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 lb. American cheese
  • 2 small cans (2 lb.) whole tomatoes
  • 1 Tbsp. garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp. cumin
  • 1/2 Tbsp. black pepper
  • 1 or 2 jalapeno peppers, remove seeds

Method

  • Blend cans of tomatoes (juice too).
  • Put in Dutch oven.
  • Add garlic powder, cumin and pepper.
  • Dice the jalapeno finely.
  • Add to mixture.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Add the cheese (grated) until melted.
  • Remove from heat and cool.
  • Mixture will be thick and lumpy.
  • Add 1 cup of water and blend.
  • May freeze.
  • Makes a lot!
