Ingredients

  • 2/3 c. butter or margarine
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 Tbsp. powdered milk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 c. unsifted flour
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Method

  • Cream together butter and sugars until blended; beat in eggs one at a time.
  • Stir in milk, salt, baking soda, cinnamon and baking powder.
  • Add alternately flour and buttermilk.
  • Pour into a buttered and floured pan (13 x 9 x 2-inch).
  • Mix together sugar, nuts and cinnamon.
  • Sprinkle over batter.
  • Refrigerate overnight. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes or until golden.
