Ingredients
- 1 c. corn meal
- 1/2 tsp. salt (to taste)
- oil
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 egg
- buttermilk
Method
- Mix corn meal, baking powder and salt; add enough buttermilk to mix well.
- Batter should be thick to drop on hot oiled skillet. Fry like pancakes.
- Brown on both sides.
- This goes well with any type of greens, such as mustard, turnip or spinach.
