Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. oleo
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 3 c. quick cooking oats
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts
  • 3/4 c. coconut

Method

  • Cream shortening, oleo and sugars.
  • Add beaten eggs; beat well.
  • Add vanilla, then add flour, salt and soda.
  • At the last, mix in the oats, nuts and coconut by hand.
  • Grease cookie sheet. Drop by spoonful and mash down with fork.
  • You can also make a roll and wrap in wax paper and refrigerate overnight.
