Ingredients
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 Tbsp. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Cream butter and sugar.
- Add egg yolk, nutmeg, baking soda and flour.
- Stir in milk and vanilla until a stiff dough forms.
- Chill 15 minutes, if desired.
- Roll out on lightly floured board.
- Cut with bottle cap a decorative round.
- Just off center with fork, pierce all over.
- Bake at 400° for 5 to 8 minutes or until golden.
