Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 1 c. light cream
  • 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 Tbsp. prepared horseradish
  • 1 c. cooked peas (can)
  • 2 c. diced, cooked ham
  • 1 1/2 c. cooked noodles
  • 1/4 c. dry bread crumbs

Method

  • Melt 2 tablespoons butter in saucepan. Blend flour into melted butter to form paste. Add cream, stirring constantly, until smooth, thick sauce forms.
  • Add cheese.
  • Stir sauce until cheese melts.
  • Add horseradish, peas, ham and noodles. Blend well.
  • Pour mixture into greased 1-quart casserole dish.
  • Top with bread crumbs.
  • Dot with 1 tablespoon butter.
  • Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
