Ingredients
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 c. hot water
- 1 c. warm water
- 6 c. plain flour
- 1 c. shortening
- 3 pkg. dry yeast
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 1 tsp. salt
Method
- Blend together sugar and shortening; add hot water.
- Dissolve yeast in warm water; add eggs, flour and salt.
- Cover and let rise until double in bulk.
- Stir down, cover up to 4 to 5 days.
- Roll out to 1/4-inch thickness, cut with biscuit cutter and fold over and place on cookie sheet.
- Brush with melted butter.
- Let rise until double and bake at 350° until brown, 12 to 15 minutes.
