Ingredients

  • PIE
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/3 cup lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cracker pie crust
  • CHERRY GLAZE
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup cherry juice
  • 1 cup cherries, red tart cherries, pitted, drained

Method

  • PIE:
  • Mix cream cheese, condensed milk, lemon juice and vanilla.
  • Pour into pie crust.
  • CHERRY GLAZE:
  • Blend sugar and cornstarch, stir in cherry juice.
  • Cook until thickened and clear, stirring constantly.
  • Stir in a few drops of red food coloring if desired.
  • Add cherries.
  • Completely cool and top the pie.
