Ingredients
- 1 hen, cooked well done
- 3 ribs celery, cut in 1/4-inch pieces
- 2 large onions, chopped
- 2 bell peppers, chopped or 1 small can pimento, cut up
- 1 qt. tomatoes, cut up
- 1 stick margarine
Method
- Take chicken off the bone. Cook onions, celery, peppers and tomatoes in margarine until tender.
- Add this mixture and chicken to chicken broth.
- Add a few crumbled crackers to thicken slightly.
- Salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve with saltines, ketchup and sliced onions.
