Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 12 cup cream
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 5 cups flour

Method

  • Cream the sugar, shortening and eggs.
  • Add shortening, salt, soda, baking powder, cream, lemon juice and vanilla mix.
  • Add flour gradually.
  • Roll out on floured table and cut with cookie cutters.
  • Bake 375F until brown (8 10 min depending on the size and thickness of the cookies).
