Ingredients
- 1 c. flour
- 1/3 c. plus 1 Tbsp. shortening
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 or 3 Tbsp. water (enough cold water to hold it together)
Method
- Place flour and salt into bowl.
- Cut in shortening thoroughly. Sprinkle in cold water, one tablespoon at a time, mixing until all flour is moistened and dough almost cleans side of bowl.
- Shape into flattened round.
- Roll out on a floured, cloth-covered board. Recipe may also be used to prepare "Electric Mixer Pastry."
