Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano leaves
  • 1/4 pkg. lasagne noodles
  • 2 c. Mozzarella or Swiss cheese
  • 2 c. cottage cheese
  • 1/3 c. Parmesan cheese

Method

  • In a medium skillet, cook and stir ground chuck and garlic until meat is brown.
  • Drain; add tomato sauce, salt, pepper and oregano.
  • Cover and simmer 20 minutes.
  • Cook noodles as directed on package and drain.
  • In an ungreased baking dish, 11 1/2 x 7 1/2-inch, alternate layers of meat sauce, noodles, cheese and cottage cheese, beginning and ending with sauce.
  • Bake uncovered 20 to 30 minutes.
  • Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
