Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
  • 1/2 c. granulated sugar
  • 1/2 c. powdered sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 c. Wesson oil
  • 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 c. flour

Method

  • Cream margarine and sugar until fluffy.
  • Add the other ingredients in order listed.
  • Stir until well blended.
  • Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet.
  • Dip the bottom of a glass in granulated sugar and press cookies slightly.
  • Bake at 350° for 7 minutes (do not overbake).
  • Cool on wire racks.
