- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup shortening
- 4 eggs
- 1 12 cups flour
- 13 cup cocoa
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 3 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 5 ounces mini marshmallows
- 1 lb powdered sugar
- 13 cup cocoa
- 16 tablespoons butter
- 14 cup evaporated milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
Method
- For bottom:.
- Cream sugar and shortening together.
- Add eggs and beat well.
- In separate bowl, sift flour, cocoa, and salt.
- Add to creamed mixture.
- Mix well.
- Add vanilla extract and nuts.
- Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13 pan.
- Bake at 300 degrees for 35 minutes.
- Remove from oven and pour marshmallows on top.
- Bake at 350 for 10 minutes.
- For Icing:.
- Sift sugar and cocoa.
- Add butter and remaining ingredients.
- Mix well.
- Spread on cooled cake.
