Ingredients
- 2 c. self-rising flour
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 3/4 c. warm water (105~ to 115~)
- 2 Tbsp. butter, melted
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 c. powdered sugar
Method
- Mix flour, yeast and sugar.
- Cut in shortening.
- Add water and mix.
- Roll dough in 12 x 14-inch rectangle pan or dish.
- Brush butter on.
- Mix 3 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over top.
- Roll up and cut in about 15 slices, 3/4-inch thick.
- Put in buttered pan and let rise 2 hours.
- Bake at 425° for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
- Glaze while hot with powdered sugar and 4 teaspoons water.
