Ingredients

  • 8 cucumber slices
  • 10 mint leaves
  • 10 ml (1/4 oz) sugar syrup
  • ice cubes
  • 70 ml (2 1/4 oz) gin
  • 10 ml (1/4 oz) mint-infused dry vermouth
  • 2 cucumber batons

Method

1. Muddle the cucumber and mint with the sugar syrup in a cocktail shaker. Add a scoop of ice, then the gin. Coat the inside of a chilled martini glass with the vermouth. Place a small sieve over the martini glass and strain the martini into the glass. (This is known as double straining, which ensures a lovely clear drink.) Garnish with two cucumber batons.
