Ingredients

  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1 lb. butter, melted
  • 6 eggs (at room temperature)
  • 4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. almond flavoring
  • 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring

Method

  • Combine sugar and butter.
  • Cream until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • Add flour to creamed mixture, alternating with milk, beating well after each addition.
  • Stir in flavorings.
  • Pour batter into a well-greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.
  • Bake at 300° for 1 hour and 40 minutes or until cake tests done.
