Ingredients

  • 1 head cauliflower
  • 1 bunch broccoli (1 1/4 lb.), cut into spears
  • 3 to 4 carrots, sliced diagonally 1/4-inch thick
  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine, melted
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper

Method

  • In a 15-inch round glass or ceramic dish, place head of cauliflower in center.
  • Arrange broccoli and carrots around outside.
  • Pour butter or margarine over vegetables.
  • Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Cover with plastic wrap, turning back 1 edge to vent.
  • Microwave on High power for 17 to 19 minutes.
  • Let stand, covered, 5 minutes.
  • Vegetables should be crisp, but tender.
