Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. ground beef or venison
  • 1 (32 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce
  • 1/2 c. Ricotta or cottage cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 9 lasagne noodles (uncooked)
  • 1/2 lb. Mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese

Method

  • In a large glass bowl, heat crumbled ground meat 2 to 3 minutes on High until browned.
  • Stir in spaghetti sauce and water.
  • Combine Ricotta cheese, egg and pepper.
  • Spray oblong baking dish with nonstick spray.
  • Spoon 1/2 cup of sauce into dish, then alternately layer noodles, egg mixture, Mozzarella cheese and sauce, making 2 layers.
  • Heat, covered, for 8 minutes on High.
  • Continue cooking on power level 5 an additional 30 to 32 minutes until noodles are tender.
  • Top with Parmesan cheese.
  • Let stand, covered, for 15 minutes before serving.
