Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter, room temperature
  • 3/4 c. sifted confectioners sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. sifted flour
  • 1 c. finely chopped nuts
  • extra 10x sugar

Method

  • Cream butter, confectioners sugar and vanilla.
  • With a spoon, blend in flour.
  • Add nuts; shape into 3/4-inch balls, rolling in palm of hand.
  • Place 1/2-inch apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake in preheated 300° oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until cookies are creamy color.
  • Remove to rack until just warm.
  • Roll in a little confectioners sugar.
  • Cool entirely and roll again in confectioners sugar.
  • Makes 3 1/2 dozen. Store in tightly covered container.
