Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 c. oleo
  • 2 cans peach pie filling
  • 2 egg whites
  • pinch of cream of tartar
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. walnuts

Method

  • Combine flour, sugar, vanilla and egg yolk.
  • Cut in oleo like coarse corn meal.
  • Spread mixture in ungreased jelly roll pan and up sides 1-inch.
  • Cover with 2 cans peach pie filling.
  • Beat until stiff egg whites, cream of tartar and 1/2 cup sugar.
  • Spread over peaches and sprinkle 1/2 cup walnuts over top.
  • Bake until golden brown at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.
