Ingredients
- 2 c. fresh cherries
- 4 c. water
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. cloves
- 1/2 to 1 c. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 3/4 c. milk/cream
Method
- Bring to boil the cherries, water and spices.
- Add sugar to taste according to the sweetness of the cherries.
- (I start with 1/2 cup of sugar and add an additional 1/2 cup if cherries are unpitted or tart.)
- Boil cherries for 20 minutes or until tender. When done, blend flour and milk; add to cherry mixture while boiling, just long enough to mix.
- Serve cold.
