Ingredients

  • 200 grams Ground meat (any meat)
  • 1 tbsp Finely chopped garlic
  • 1 tbsp Ginger, finely chopped
  • 1/2 stalk Japanese leek (or onion), finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp Doubanjiang
  • 2 tbsp Sake (or Shaoxing wine)
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Hatcho miso (or tianmianjiang)
  • 3 tbsp Sesame paste (or zhimajiang)
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 1 dash Salt and pepper

Method

  • Heat vegetable oil in a pan, and stir fry the finely chopped garlic and ginger.
  • Add the finely chopped leek (or onion) and stir fry.
  • Add the ground meat, and stir fry until cooked through.
  • Add the doubanjiang, and stir fry well to bring out the spiciness.
  • Add the sake, miso, sesame paste and soy sauce, and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper.
